July 3, 2026
I spent two weeks on a research visit with Romain Pascual at the MICS Laboratory, CentraleSupélec (Université Paris-Saclay) – productive and genuinely enjoyable. From there, straight on to STAF 2026 in Rennes.
Unexpected highlight: together with my co-authors Bowen Jiang, Nathan Hagel, Haowei C., Benedikt Jutz, Weixing Zhang, Rahul Sharma, PhD, Ralf Reussner, and Anne Koziolek, we picked up the Best Paper Award at ECMFA 2026 🏆 for our paper “LLM4MTLs: Automated Generation and Empirical Evaluation of Model Transformation Languages”. Great work by the whole team.
I also co-organized the ICMM Workshop with Colin Atkinson, Dr. Minakshi Kaushik, and Thomas Weber. The keynote by Johan Cederbladh (Volvo Construction Equipment) was a highlight: an honest take on where MBSE still falls short and what needs to change for broader industrial adoption. It connected the industry perspective directly to what the workshop is about. Thanks to everyone who submitted and joined the discussion.
Three weeks, two cities, one award. Now on my way home with plenty of new ideas from conversations during the research visit and at the conference.
